Staff / Laura J. Brownlie
Laura is a senior from Basom, NY and this is her third year on the Niagaran staff. She is also a Lead Community Advisor for Seton Hall, a Peer Educator for the freshmen NUB class, a member of the Phi Sigma Iota and Sigma Alpha Sigma honor societies, as well as working with both the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.
This is Laura's second year as Editor-in-Chief. She spent the previous year working to reorganize the staff and make The Niagaran a greater presence on campus. After recruiting once again, the numbers of the organization have grown substantially and there is now a a great deal of very talented and dedicated people that work hard to make The Niagaran into the great publication that it is.
Her thoughts on this year: "Using the great additions that came onto the Niagaran staff last year as a base, I am so excited to have recruited so many new, enthusiastic people. Since this will be my last year, I am training two very knowledgable and skilled co-editors to take over for the years to come and carry the tradition of the Niagaran into the future. They have both been great assets to me already, and I know that they have the passion to take over this leadership role. I am ready and excited to teach a new generation of Niagarans how to promote purple pride through The Niagaran 2013."
