Wind Beneath Our Wings (1990, LXXXIII)
With the advent of the Spring Semester, NU officially soared into the 1990s ready to face new challenges. The theme of the 1990 Niagaran, "Wind Beneath Our Wings" is a play not only on our school mascot, the Niagara Purple Eagle, but also on our college experience. For the Seniors who are leabing the Niagara community in May, they can rest assured that Niagara has provided them with a wind which will enable them to achieve new heights in the future. As the Class of 1990 uses this wind to build the foundations of their future, the underclassmen are left behind to continue gathering their own winds. This is done through the education that they partake in and through the maturity that comes with learning to responsible for one's own self, possibly for the first time in their lives. Hence, our Niagara experience provides us with the "Wind Beneath Our Wings" that enables us to soar with confidence into the future. In closing, I would like to wish this year's graduating class the best of luck as they embark upon their futures. As for the rest of us, it is only a matter of time-1, 2, or 3 years- before our winds reach fulfillment and graduation is upon us.
Best of Luck to one and all,
