Letter From the Editor
It has been a long, but quick four years at Niagara for me. It is a bittersweet feeling to know that I will graduate this year and move on to bigger and better things in life. I am sad to be leaving the Niagaran staff, as I have been the editor for the past three and a half years. Creating a yearbook for 1500 of my peers can sometimes be a stressful venture that requires a huge time commitment and determination to get deadlines completed on time, my staff motivated, and being able to make a 200 page book when we have no photos!
I would like to thank my small, but wonderful staff this year! Laura Brownlie joined me as my co-editor to train to become the editor next year after I graduate. She is super talented and will probably do a better job than I have! Courtney Davies worked on all of the athletic pages herself and worked closely with the athletics department to get the best quality photos we could. Catherine Trzaska decided to join the Niagaran because she did yearbook in high school and loved it. She will be a great asset to the book! Last but not least, Atasha Ramsaroop was always willing to do anything. I would give her a task and it would be done the next day! We started the year off with a staff of 15 and ended with five and I am happy with our finished product!
I would also like to thank my advisor Kim Zukowski for her help in completing this yearbook. She gives us the ability to truly be a student run book and lets us put whatever we want into the book that's ours! Lastly, I would like to thank Julie Tirone, our Herff Jones Representative, for her help and guidance, and for not yelling at us, even when we were 50 pages behind deadline at one point.
Finally, CONGRATULATIONS TO MY GRADUATING CLASS! I have been writing this letter for four years now and have never addressed my own class! We can do great things! Remember everything you learned at Niagara and keep it in the back of your mind. I hope you put this book on your bookshelf and look back at it from time to time. The Class of 2011 will forever be remembered at NU, for we truly defined what it is to be a Niagaran. Good luck and best wishes!
